TubeMate - YouTube Downloader
Today's useful app is YouTube Downloader TubMate. It's one of my favorite apps because it helps me make up my mind and download a bunch of relevant videos from YouTube. I love learning about different topics and content in different fields, and this is a must-have app for that!
And you know those times? When my head starts to spin from boredom, like on a long flight or in a car on a holiday highway, I prepare something to relieve the boredom in advance. I download a bunch of YouTube videos on my phone at once and drive around. Since it's a topic I'm interested in, time flies by and I'm having a great time, right? Before I know it, I arrive at my destination a few hours later! Happy!
YouTube is the best tool for quick and easy learning these days, right? Nowadays, if you're like me and most of us have an unlimited plan, we just stream it and call it a day, right? But sometimes you download it and save it on your phone and you want to watch it again, and that's where this app comes in. So for me, this app is For educationfor example.
Overview of Tubemate, a YouTube downloader
TubeMate connects YouTube to MP4 You can also specify the amount in the form of a MP3 format. If you're watching YouTube and think, "I need to save this," you can use the 'Share' to save it as a Tubemate. For more information on the ins and outs of this app, see the TreeWikifor more information.
However, this great app is not listed on Google Play. You can get it from OneStar, as shown below, or you can download it from the Official siteto download and install the installation file (APK).
Launch the app
It's not as hard as you might think, and it's very intuitive. As I mentioned earlier, it's probably easiest to share it on YouTube and link to this app to download it. Once you launch the app, you'll see the screen below. The ads are a bit annoying, but it's a free app, so it's worth it.
Setting up storage folders
If you want to download something, you'll want to start by specifying the storage folder as shown in the following image. If you tap on the 3 dots on the top left (what's that called?! Anyone?!), you'll see a gear like that for settings, and if you tap on it, you'll have the option to select a video folder and an audio folder. I'm going to choose the Video folder external storage (my 2nd phone is an S8, and unlike most phones these days, it has SD memory). Follow the steps in the picture below to create a new folder.

Search and download videos
I'm going to apply this to a YouTube video by Mr. Waffle Isaac, who helped me start this blog with WordPress. Now search for the video you want to watch in the search bar and hit the "Download button" in the red circle.
The app will then 'analyze the video' and when it's done, it will give you the option to download it as a video or audio as shown below. I tried to save it to an external SD card instead of the phone's internal storage, so I need to confirm the permissions. The download will proceed with a green arrow at the top of the screen.
If you swipe the top of the phone, it will be divided into 4 parts and downloaded as follows. I have to capture it in the moment, but there are some steps that go by in a flash, so I downloaded it once and then downloaded it again, so I see two "WordPress Blog.....". Anyway, after a while, it will show up at the bottom that it's downloaded and I can click on it to see it saved to my phone.
Adding queues and downloading them later
By the way, did you notice that when you touch the red circle with the download arrow and have the option to download to MP3 or MP4, it says "Add to queue and download later"?
(We're going to borrow from the AI for a moment here).
"Queue" is "queue" in English. "Queue" means a line or queue, and in computer programming, it can also be used to refer to a data structure for storing or processing data.
If you select the Queue option, you'll see them listed up as shown below. This feature allows you to download a large amount at once. You can build up a list of things you want to download and then, at night while you're sleeping or when you're putting your phone away for a long period of time, use the 'Take over all' in the bottom right corner.
It looks complicated, but if you try it yourself, it's intuitive, so it's not that difficult to use. One tip is to use an old phone with SD card support as a dedicated device for Tubemate. An SD card with a capacity of 512GB is enough to receive a lot of long videos~.
To summarize, you can either watch a YouTube video and hit the share button to download it in conjunction with the app, or you can open the Tubemate app first, search for what you want, and then download it. You can also use the queue option to list them up, download them before you go to bed, check them in the morning, and voila!
