Download UiPath Studio: First steps

First, visit the UiPath official website (www.uipath.com). Click the "Try UiPath Free" button in the top right corner of the homepage. From there, click "Get Automation Cloud for community" to access it.

Create an account: Start your RPA journey

You'll need an account to download UiPath Studio. Enter your email and password to create a UiPath account. You can either enter them here or click "Continue with Google".

As a reminder, when you create a password, it must contain at least 8 characters, at least one uppercase and one lowercase letter, at least one special character (for example, !@#$%), and at least one number (0-9).

Once logged in, you will be asked to introduce yourself (name, country/region). When entering your name here, make sure to put a space between your first and last name. After that, you'll be asked to create a cloud organization, which you can do by entering whatever name you want and clicking Create Organization,

On the site you accessed after lifting George, tap the help sign (circled ?) in the upper right corner and click Download. Download the Community Edition file.

Installation process: quick and easy

Double-click the downloaded "UiPathStudioCommunity.msi" to install it. When installing, select "Quick" and "Accept Terms" as the options. Once the installation is complete, you will be presented with the 'Sign in to get started' screen, click the 'Sign in' button and then click the 'Open UiPath' button.

Then it will say "Connect tenant" and if you wait, you will be directed to the "Select profile" screen. Select UiPath Studio here, and the Studio launch window will appear, ending the installation process.

Precautions for installing UiPath Studio

  1. Choose a license: You should choose the Community license, which is free for non-commercial use.
  2. Select your profile: Choose "UiPath Studio". StudioX is for non-developers.
  3. System requirements: Make sure your computer has sufficient specifications. See the bottom of the post.
  4. Create an account: You need to create an account with a valid email address.
  5. Check the download file: Make sure the installation file has an .exe extension.

Common installation errors and how to fix them

  1. License-related error: Occurs when the studio and robot versions don't match. Use the community version only.
  2. Profile compatibility issues: If you're not compatible with StudioX, change to the Studio version.
  3. Broken activity: This can happen after an update, try fixing the XAML file yourself.
  4. Corrupt installation file: Try downloading and installing the file again.
